The 2017 National Museum Salary Survey Snapshot: Education, Visitor Services & Research/Evaluation is segment of the 2017 National Museum Salary Survey, providing salary data on the following positions: Educator A/Director of Education; Educator B; Visitor Research & Evaluation A/Director of Research & Evaluation/Visitor Research Manager; Visitor Research & Evaluation B/Visitor Research Associate or Assistant; Educational Assistant; Public Programs Manager/Outreach Coordinator; and Visitor Services Manager.

Prepared and deployed in collaboration with the six regional museum associations: Association of Midwest Museums (AMM), the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums , the Mountain Plains Museum Association (MPMA), the New England Museum Association (NEMA), the Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC), and the Western Museums Association (WMA), and deployed by five state museum associations: the California Association of Museums (CAM), the Florida Association of Museums (FAM), the Museum Association of New York (MANY), the Texas Association of Museums (TAM), and the Virginia Association of Museums (VAM), the 2017 National Museum Salary Survey is the only comprehensive study of its kind for our diverse field.
