Product Description:
|
The only comprehensive salary study of national scope! Includes detailed
salary information for 48 key museum positions, with analysis by museum type,
region, geographic setting (urban, rural, suburban) and budget size, plus
individual characteristics (age, gender, academic preparation and time in
position). Also includes information about benefits, part-time employees,
employment patterns during the Great Recession and the shape of the museum
profession. An essential resource for hiring officials who need to set the
salaries of new museum employees, for HR managers and supervisors who want to
benchmark the salaries of current employees against regional and national norms,

Prepared in collaboration with the Association of Midwest
Museums (AMM), the Mountain Plains Museum Association (MPMA), the New England Museum
Association (NEMA) and the Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC) and based on
surveys conducted in their regions. Together, these associations represent 36
states, 64% of the American population and approximately two-thirds of all
museums in the United States.
